Matthew 9:37-38 says
Jesus said to his disciples “The Harvest is plentiful but laborers
are few. So
we need to make ourselves available to reach out to many people
who
aren't saved. He wants to reveal Himself to everyone who will accept
Him.
But first we need to accept the fact that we can’t do anything on
our own
or with our own power. Here is some cross references- In
Revelation it says.
For the time has come for you to reap, for the harvest of the
earth is ripe.
And in Leviticus it says “When you reap the harvest in your land
you shall
not wholly reap the corners of your field when you reap, nor shall
you
gather any gleaning (or to pick up leftovers) from you harvest. It
also says in
Leviticus “When you come into the land I which I gave you and reap
its
harvest than you shall bring a sheaf (wheat) of the first fruits
of your
harvest to the priest. The Lord says that the harvest is truly
great but the
laborers are few therefore we need to pray for more laborers to be
sent
out into the harvest and we need to have our hearts, minds, soul
and spirit
to be more like Jesus so we can be laborers for Him. So I feel
like its our job
to live our lives fully and completely according to His will.
